So last spring season, I did track for the first time (I am a sprinter). After the season ended, I went on a 2 week vacation and did nothing. After I got back from vacation, I started training for summer track but only every 4 days. After summer ended, I resumed training every 4 days and occasionally 3 until the spring track season started. After the spring season ended, I started training for summer track right away without a break. I would train 6 days a week with hard days every 2 days except that I would rest about 4 days before a meet. So in a week, I would be having 4 hard days, 2 easy days and 1 rest day. At the first 3 meets, I got faster times but in the last 2 meets I have not really improved but instead have gotten slightly slower. Should I take 2 weeks off because I have been told that I am over training? After these 2 weeks off, how would I feel? Would I be faster than I was during the season or would I just reset to where I was during the season?
