Having had the displeasure of actually working with Cowturd, I can tell you he is actually in left field with most of his political views, just like most people who work in the media. ESPN is literally ruled by Marxists. FOX is actually little different. The 'news' is just theater for the masses. Sports news isn't even worthy of being called news. Yes, I have worked for both ESPN and FOX Sports. Same bs at both places. If you have the right type of last name, you'll tend to have an easier time moving up and through the ranks when it comes to being a director, producer or executive. Same story that permeates most of the "American" media today.
