as a sophomore I ran a 16:09, unfortunately this year as a junior I did not match that due to tough XC courses but I did finish my track season with a 4:22 mile and after kept a couple of weeks at low 30s mileage as but now I've bumped it up to 50/55 I want to increased mileage but I've also focused on the value I do my workouts in. My first race is to come into the season finally breaking 16 and maybe even running a low 15:40s/high 30s
This is how my last weeks training was:
Sun: off
Mon: 12 mile long run @ 6:08 pace
Tues: 9 miles easy
Wed: 8 mile trail run hills/sand @ 6:45 pace, moderate
Thurs: 8 miles easy
Fri: 3 mile tempo @5:35 pace rest 15 mins
3 mile tempo @5:41 pace
2 miles easy + bare foot strides
