Is running ten miles on a treadmill at 2% incline going to help me train for high school XC as much as 10 miles outdoor? Which training is better or are they pretty much even?

Everyone says outside training is always better. They're pretty similar though. Definitely train mostly outside because:
1) It's less boring
2) it simulates XC more accurately
3) runs feel faster with more scenery to distract you
Only train outside if weather conditions are bad.
Doing a tempo on the treadmill once a week at 6 degrees will turn you into an animal with limitless power.
Keep it on the 'mill!
