Yes, this was the best year ever in terms of all HS Track, at least if you consider both boys and girls together (if not, it doesn't look quite as strong, though I can't think of any year in particular that would outshine it so still might be the best).
Boys 100m through 2 Miles (Hunter is #10 A-T btw) this was clearly the best year. Steeplechase was solid as well (Jibbs #5 A-T at 8:57, though this is a more rare event nationally). Nothing historically notable in the 110m or 300m Hurdles, though Rai did crack the Top-10 in the 400mH.
Port Arthur TX (#4) and Marshall TX (#7) had good 4x200m relays, though they were the only historic relay this year.
In the field events, Scott Katnik checks in at #10 in the SP for the only historic mark, though two vaulters weren't far off either.
No national records this year, though.
Girls side was MUCH stronger, particularly if you include the HS Professionals.
