Probably closer to 8-9 seconds when they both have retired. Or both of retired as the brojos would say.
Yes
A few of good months of hard training will always get you a 10-12 second improvement in the 1500 meters. Oh sure, this happens all of the time. What are you guys trying to say?

Sometimes but it will certainly get you 5 seconds over a year.
Of course.
OK, All non-Americans, is she really 6 seconds better than Hassan? I think all non-Americans would be (or at least should be) very skeptical of that difference.

Obviously: she can run the distance 7 seconds faster. How else would you answer the question?

Yes, yes she is. Why do Americans think they are the best at everything and then cry foul when they aren't? What actual basis do you have to cast aspersions on a brilliant run? Shame on you.

Don't pay any attention.
Jenny's fans are just desperate for attention.
Maybe a little better, she was not even challenged.
Dibaba was only 2 seconds ahead of Hassan with 200 meters to go, 3 seconds with 100 meters to go. Hassan died at the end.
Hassan is at least 2 or 3 seconds better than Rowbury. Had she run a slower third lap, she might have finished just that, 2 or 3 second faster than Rowbury.

The real question is this: Is Dibaba '15 7+ seconds better than Dibaba prior to '15? The answer is 'yes'. The question is 'why'?
I have noticed a number of athletes running at shorter distance than they are normally known for and equaling or bettering performances by those who have specialized at those shorter distances.

hard to know the opposite - if say a leo trained for the 5k and then ran the mile would be faster? But yeah - it's interesting what you point out.

The answer to the first question is no, because she ran 3:55.17 indoors 17 months ago.
As a comparison men's 1500m indoor vs outdoor is 3:31:18, 3:26:00 .
Now the women's 3:55.17 , 3:50.07
