I don't care so much about division. I'm just curious what coaches have made the most out of their athletes in these events.

Tarello/Compagni at Monmouth Univ - Ford Palmer and Dylan Capwell in only a couple year span for a school on that level is 100% coaching.
I would also throw Anette Acuff at Binghamton as well - Van Ingen and Garn in recent years.
Both of these schools are programs I have to coach against, but there is no denying their coaches are top notch.
Oregon end of thread.
Makes sense you coach against both and then post to encourage kids to go there
Vig has a very good reputation with the middle distances. At Texas he coached Leo and the world record dmr relay team. He coached some stars at UVA including Robby Andrews. He's currently coaching at princeton and is still working with Robby. Vig has been working great for Robby as he came in 2ed at USAs after he had some tough years with other coaches.
Tom Donnelly, Haverford
Alan Drosky at Georgia Tech. Has had good 4x800 showings at Penn Relays these past few years.
Gondak at penn state is always in the of things. Good recruiter and a good coach.
Dave Smith.
Definitely second the thought on Gondak at PSU. Good coach, good recruiter, good guy. No accident his athletes like him and in most cases see solid improvement.
Can't be as positive about Princeton.

Yep. End of discussion about #1. Next up, who follows?
Vanhoy at Ole Miss
Tom Akers and Erin Howarth at Eastern Illinois University. It's a small, D1 school in Illinois that competes with the best. Their top 4 800 men went 1:48, 1:50, 1:51, and 1:54. Only the 1:48 guy graduated, and they are bringing in a 1:53 kid and two 1:55 kids. Coach Howarth had two milers go 4:05 and 4:11 indoors for the mile. Quality on the women's side too. The 4 best 800 women went 2:08, 2:09, 2:11, and 2:11. Two of those girls were sub 4:40 for the 1500.
