Looks like Ventolin knew a thing or two in kiprop predictions. 3:26.69!

The fact that Kiprop said he's not fit...
I think we might as well give him the medal now
I thought the others ran badly...
until i saw the times!
Wow
DID SOMEONE CHECK THE STARTING LINE POSITION YET?!!?!!?
Kiprop showed he's the best by far, at least in a time trial face. Mak looked very strong, and Willis impressed despite still coming into form. Meanwhile Centro confirmed what many already knew, he's a championship racer first and foremost. That American Record ain't goin nowhere...

So let me get this straight. According to you guys he nearly broke the world record being at only 70% and also the only top runner clean? Really?
but not the gold though. He is not going to win in Beijing. Willis or Machluff.
ALIEN HEAD > BLOOD OF STEEL!
Somewhere in the Atlas Mountains JAKIR is crying into his lionskin rug.

agreed.... an additional 30% would be what, like a 2:24 1500?? That's literally impossible. Kiprop clearly was just excited or something.
I don't beleive the 70% thing. And I don't think he'll break the WR this year. But now I really believe he can do it now, he can go 3:25.xx
Percentage of fitness does not directly correlate to percentage of time relative to maximal ability.
Asbel is already WC. I say blow off the worlds and focus on the record. Choose venues where El G ran fastest. And bring the same pacemakers: Jackson Kivuva was awesome.

We had 53.7/1:50, but what really set this apart was getting to sub 2:46 and still having plenty left in the tank, rather than having a big slowdown to 1200m.
The alien baby ate up the heart of the lion, but tremendous races all around through tenth. Centro's 3:30.40 is nothing to sniff at; that was actually Makh Daddy's pr from Paris this month until today. Kiprop was either sandbagging or he just started to feel great this week. Obviously, he can break the world record. He was not in this kind of shape a month and a half ago but he always comes around for this race. And with Makh at 3:28.75, does that change people's views on how impressive 2:13.08 was? Congrats to Willis as well. And obviously, Mo Farah is very sharp and came very close to his pr here, but what is notable is that apparently he was leading the chase pack, which he was not doing for much of his 3:28.81 race, I believe, which would mean that this race was a significantly superior performance to that, as he was too far back to draft in this one. Too bad there's no one like Kiprop around in the 3000m, 5000m, and 10000m to push Farah to his limits in time.
No one runs a personal best at 70% fitness Lol!!
