Hannah Cunliffe transferring to Oregon from Oklahoma...

I know Hannah's situation pretty well and I will be surprised if she ever materializes as a contributor to an NCAA team. Throughout high school she really struggled to participate within any kind of team structure and moved to a new situation almost every year. She ran well training under her dad's club team but she just cannot play well with others. I don't know why that is, maybe it's the independent spirit of a homeschooler, but the pattern is very clear. I don't see how Oregon will be any different for her.

Her transfer is another chase for greener grass but those that do well at Oregon are the athletes willing to put their heads down and work hard. I don't think this move will work.

Huge Huge pickup for Oregon now Oregon has 5 sprinters that are 11.3 or faster and 2 that are under 11. Oregon 4 by 1 is going to be smoking fast and good looking as well. The Ducks only lose like 6 points on the Women's side that means they could easily go back to back National Championships on the Women's side after not winning a single Outdoor Championship since 1985. Got to hand to the Oregon coaches on an awesome job recruiting . Is Oregon now Sprint U on the Women's side??????????????????/ I really think the Oregon Women can/will set the NCAA record next year on the 4 by 100 what is the record time????? thanks and go ducks U$C 4 by 100 should give Oregon somewhat a scare but Oregon has 3 sprinters that are faster then the fastest 100 runner from U$C with Washington,Todd and Prandini.

Are you serious?!!! Hannah's transfer to Oregon is no surprise and show's just how much they value academia. Her homeschooling curriculum was a joke (diploma mill), and prevented her from attending many of her chosen institutions of higher learning. I bet you that USC's Ladies of Troy beats them in the short hurdles, 4x1, 4x4, and a reading and comprehension test as well next year. I was apart of a recruiting visit that this young lady attended and I saw the character she lacks. Dud in the making!! GO DUCKS!!! Many are called Few are Chosen!!!

She was academically ineligible to enroll in the fall and had to work on NCAA compliance before joining the team.

PR 11.5x from two years ago. Who cares about her.

...so why didn't she run at either the Big 12s or the NCAA regionals outdoors--was she injured, ineligible, quit the team/forced out of the team before the end of the season?

Oregon works wonders with high potential recruits. Prandini fought injuries and then dropped her time by something like .4s in the 100m, while making World's in the 200m and scoring in the LJ at NCAA (Todd was in position to triple as well, though something went on at qualifiers and NCAA before she ran so well at USA's). If Cunliffe works hard, she'll realize that hs potential and then some at Oregon.

Then why haven't they done anything with Christian Brennan. She came in with a 52.15 PR for 400m from her HS soph year. Has yet to come close to that at Oregon. maybe it is her (don't know), but don't assume that EVERYONE flourishes in the program.

why didn't she improve her 52.12 pr from her HS soph year, in her junior or senior year of high school?

Same with Feldmeier....grass greener on the other side. Kid is not a team player and pouts when she is not treated as the star. She does not play well with others. Appears to be afraid of a challenge and when she does bad her already low self esteem takes another hit.

Oregon won't waste anybody's time on a 4x8. No points at NCAAs or PAC12s for 4x8s

Poor girl ran over 30 races including 10 relays in one year for those lunatics at Ole Miss. She did so even though she was running with no base because she missed fall training with mono. Moreover she ran primarily 800s which were entirely new to her. She doubled numerous times at meets with no significance.

Not saying you're wrong, but she seemed to do really well there. And the 800 she ran 2:03. So not sure why running 800's are a bad thing as it appears to be her best distance. She probably didn't have the times to get $ from Oregon out of HS?
