Adios 2 was a great flat.
Adios boost 2 works better for me then the hyperspeed mainly due to the upper. I have a narrow foot and the hyperspeed was just too wide. The Adios locks on your foot like a glove. They Hyperspeed doesn't have back eyelets which can cause some hill slippage.
The adios is heavy than the hyperspeed, but for longer distances you can't tell. My adios boost 2 have a good amount of miles placed on them with little wear. They will last a long time probably 500+ miles which is extremely rare for a flat.
Brooks Launch is a good shoe, but it's not in the same shoe category with the Hyperspeed and Adios. It's more of heavy trainer.
NB 1400's are also a great shoe.
You mean the Launch is a lightweight trainer.
Based on your weight I'd go with the Adios 'cause as it was mentioned it is a heavier flat (the Launch is around 9 oz. for size 9 whereas Adios are around 8.6 oz.) that will last about as long as a trainer. You're a bit heavy for a runner and the Asics in my opinion are too soft. May or may not break down quicker.
Even so, if you're worried about the price difference I don't think it's ever worth it to pay full price for shoes. Maybe you can get the Boost on discount from runningwarehouse. Otherwise, go for the cheaper option. Assuming you are only wearing the shoe for races it'll last you long enough.
