She is wonderful to watch.
But she has a technical flaw. Her barrier hurdling is fine because she isn't really breaking her rhythm.
She is so tall that she instantly has the advantage of getting way out into the shallow end of the pit.
She is a very erect runner with not much forward lean in her hurdling. By stepping on the water jump she is wasting her forward progress. A lot of the Africans have a hint of forward lean and that lean helps them navigate the water jump without losing a lot of the momentum. Its very efficient and fluid. The lean doesn't matter on the regular barriers because they all hurdle them anyways.
Her water jump is decent but she could save some time on both ends. First by not stepping on it she keeps the momentum going. Spending more to clear is easier than wasting some to get another foot or two out of the pit. Second by hurdling the water jump she can stay in contact with the runners and not have to exert as much to get back into contact. Lastly when she steps on this barrier she is going up and then out. Wasted energy on the lead leg. I think she spends a lot of time being in the air and not running.
Obviously this is something that she needs to practice but this is the next evolution in the womens steeple and she needs to be at the forefront.
