How long do you take off when you have a cough? I got sick and it started in my throat but now it's a full blown sinus and respiratory cold. I'm coughing but not much, more in my sinuses. I was in pretty good shape but now I am hesitant to run because it's a bit in my lungs now and I am prone to pneumonia. The kid I got it from is still coughing so I don't want it to turn into that. How long would you take off?
You don't succeed at trail ultras by being a baby.
If you're feeling pain in your lungs, coughing up yellow or green flem, running a fever, and/or feel weak, I'd knock off running until most or all symptoms subside.
A doctor said if the cold is above the neck it's okay to run. If it's below the neck it's not okay to run until it's passed.The time frame is difference for everyone.
