Been doing a lot of reading, and the general consensus seems to be that doubling is the way to go if you want to get faster, stronger, etc. However, I've always been wary of it - worried that it will wear me down and more vulnerable to being injured. I recently started my post-collegiate running career, XC has never been my strong suit, and I'd love to improve upon my college PR's.
Opinions? If I should start doubling, what should that look like? Should I divide my daily mileage between my two run equally, or should one be shorter and one be longer?
Thanks.
