Ovett was never that fast.
Coe was certainly fast at 800m and rumors had it that...
Coe's dad was a doctor... 'Nuff said

No he wasn't.
And even if he was (he wasn't), it doesn't follow that therefore, his son was doping. This is bad reasoning.
Of course, Coe could have doped, but not for any reasons you've stated.

Coe's Dad was an engineer.
His maternal grandfather was Indian, so maybe he was able to get his hands on some special incense.

Ovett was fast enough to win races.
Was wondering this the other day. I find it interesting that their marks are still so high. I think I thought that after Mahkloufis 1000. I know it's not the most races distance but still.
cram I believe not
Coe I suspect maybe, it would be blood dope and steroids
Didn't coe have a connection to professor conconi in Italy?
No Coe has no connection with Conconi. That is something another troll posted on another thread here the other day. Probably the same poster who has an axe to grind.
That's the problem with sites like this. It only takes one idiot, usually someone who hasn't the balls to use his proper name, to purposely type absolute nonsense in an attempt to generate a rumour which is based on absolutely nothing.
All 3 Brits had a lot of setbacks with injuries and illnesses, things which are normally reduced through use of steroids and other PEDs.
Morceli and EL G were rarely injured, which is something that is somewhat suspicious.
Coe long rumored to be a Ferrari/Conconi Epo customer.
Renato Canova states Coe was a Ferrari customer in a runner's world article and then bizarrly claims Epo not effective.
BTW, Epo not illegal at the time as there were no tests. IOC logic dictates that isn't doping.

I beg to differ.

Synthetic EPO did not exist at that time.
I like to think Coe was clean. He was rather brittle, he talked about being an over tuned sports car, fast but unreliable and prone to breaking down and getting ill, especially when at or near a peak. He talked about the fine line between world class performance and being ill in bed - that doesn't sound like a doper to me. It is also possible his training methods, which were somewhat different to most in his day, were due to the fact he was clean and couldn't sustain the sort of training those on steroids might be able to sustain.
He was 5'9" and 9 stone. Not exactly the physique of someone using steroids. Both Cram and Ovett were more muscular, but I have no reason to believe either of them were on drugs either.

And steroids are not exactly the PED of choice for milers.
Just figured you'd want to know.

Renato also stated that ma's army were doped and later stated that they clean
He also stated that steroids were the most effective drug for cyclists

Coe actually quit the year that EPO first came on the scene.
What "obvious" miler friendly PEDs were available in the 80's?
Just figured you might know.
I think Coe's statements in regards to Salazar displays where he truly stands on the doping talk.
Strong statements until it hits close to home, then you see his true colors.
Would not be surprised if Coe was doping.
Ovett and Cram I'd be more surprised by.
Ovett was rumored to be a pill-o-phobe. Didn't even take aspirin.
Nothing they have done has pointed to doping except running fast. The fact is no one knows if they were doping except them, and maybe close family/friends
