Hi All,
Posting on here as I'm currently amidst a long saga of issues with my right foot. It started aching on and off across the top of the foot (non-localized, unable to find a sore spot, never sharp pain) mid-spring while I was off running for what turned out to be peroneal tendon inflammation on my left foot. Fast forward to more podiatrists and orthopedics, who took x-rays and weren't convinced that an MRI was necessary for the right foot (had one on the left foot earlier this year.) I was told to pursue physical therapy, which I began mid-May. I was found to have very weak hips, weak post tib and peroneal tendons, and severely subluxed cuboid bones in both feet. I was making progress and returned to running, starting with 1 mile runs and building to 3. However, the right foot aching returned about 2 weeks ago (no sharp or sudden pain,) and I have since been off running. (I've relocated for the summer for a job and therefore have suspended my PT visits.) A small bruise appeared between my third and fourth tendons a week later, but has since faded and doesn't hurt on prodding. The achy feeling persists on the top outside of the foot, but again, not to one spot that can be palpitated. The ache is arguably more noticeable when sitting or being stationary than when I'm moving around. When walking, sometimes it feels uncomfortable when the foot receives weight, but not when pushing off (walking on toes, doing calf raises doesn't cause pain.) I have a half coming up in mid-October and hope to get back to some semblance of training soon. If anyone has experienced similar issues, any thoughts would be sincerely appreciated.
