The USA looked good against the big German girls. How can Japan compete with them. I haven't seen much of Japan other than the highlights where England scored the winning goal on themselves ( a very stupid play).

Japan beat the U.S. the last time.

You sound like a true connoisseur of the sport.

And who just beat the number one team in the world and who just got lucky because England scored the winning goal for Japan?
Bookies would love your action...
You do realize Japan beat the U.S. last World Cup? While they may not be as big/strong as Germany, they are technically sound. Their 1 and 2 touch passes and movement off the ball is very good and if you give them any time to shoot near the goal, they are usually really accurate. I do think the U.S. will beat them though..the U.S. is a better team and I think will do everything in their power not to lose again.

You do realize the US team won the Olympics and are won favored to beat Japan? Also the last World Cup was 4 years ago.
3-0 USA

You sounded like a casual fan in your first post, now you're being a twit when people point out something that you should've known. You can't parachute into a sport once every 4 years, ask a question, then get riled when people respond.

The question was does Japan have a chance. The answer is obviously "yes". I'll be rooting for the U.S., but I realize that Japan is the defending champ and has made it further than all but one other team in the tournament.
Three goals? You must not have been watching this tournament.

3-0 USA
Agreed. Dude watched the Germany match and probably posted "go USA ladies" on Facebook. He will change his profile picture to the U.S. Jersey for the match and post about the "terrible calls" by "the umpires" and how a slide tackle "should've been a red card". Then talk about the match the next day at the water cooler and tell everyone how big of a fan he is
Depends on how they are at PKs. Game will be a 0-0 draw.
3-0 might be a stretch but I think they will do it. So if you are so knowledgeable, what is YOUR prediction.Obviously nobody knows, that why its called a prediction. You can go all safe and say, 0-0 tie with US winning the shoot out but that would be sad for you.

It's soccer. The true winners are the people who don't watch it.

Exactly. You sounded like you had just watched Japan for the first time. Of course I know the US is favored, which is why I said I think they will win. 3-0 may be a stretch. I'm thinking 1 or 2-0. Japan does have a chance, but I think if the US continues how they did last game, they should win.
It's soccer, excuse me women's soccer... Nobody cares.

Wow I didn't realize soccer fans were such douches. Excuse us for paying attention to your sport.
German didn't look so strong. They just got beat by England.
Agreed Germany looked fatigued, but rightfully so after playing 120 min against France and then playing the US. They had quite a few chances that just didn't go in and unfortunately lost in another PK situation. Glad England won after what happened in their last game.
