So as you all know there are generally 3 types of 800m runners; 400/800 type, 800 only type, & the 800 & up type. Well me and a friend of mine were both on opposing sides as far weight training goes. I felt that the 400/800 and only 800 type should stick to to a weightlifting program similar to a 400m runner, but of course do the necessary mileage an 800m runner should. He felt that any type of 800m runner should stick to the same weight training regimen as the 800 and up type runner. let's run community, what is your take on this?
