Disclosure: I have been opposed to the legal recognition of same sex marriages and remain so, although I understand this is now a settled issue. The following questions are put forth to get a sense of what the long term repercussions will be for those who still believe that marriage should be between one man and one woman and also that homosexual activity is a sin, along with fornication, adultery, etc. Now that disapproval of homosexual activity is considered equivalent to racism: Will it be permissible to fire an employee who expresses this point of view? Will such people be denied entry into certain professions, such as education and counseling. Will social workers have a legitimate right to investigate parents who teach their children this form of "bigotry"? I could think of more, but you get my point.
Respectfully,
Charles Ingalls.
