In the steeple alone, O'connor and Higginson are more attractive. Is it the "look at me" social media pics that get Emma all the attention?

Dude, it's called marketing. She markets herself well and has a personality to match. She's actually very sweet and understated in real life.
I'll rephrase:
Why do people fall for the marketing? In the steeple alone, O'connor and Higginson are more attractive.
Coburn > Quigley/Higginson. Not sure what you're seeing there.
No OP, Coburn is more attractive than the women you mention
Stephanie Garcia may be the most attractive of the bunch

People don't "fall for" it, they respond to it. If you are a professional track athlete, the majority of your income usually comes from an athletic shoe/apparel company that is paying you to put their brand in front of the public. Coburn does a better job than most at affirmatively communicating with the public through her social media activities. I'm sure that New Balance could not be more pleased with her public visibility and that she ultimately will make more income than many other athletes of comparable talent.
Emma Coburn remains just as grounded as she was when she first qualified for Worlds when she was still in college. If you ever happen to run into her in Boulder where she trains, she's happy to talk for a few seconds about things she's probably already heard several times trhat day, and she carries a distinct "aw shucks" air about her, like she's surprised that people even notice what she or any distance runner is up to. Considering that she didn't exactly lead a hardscrabble childhood, she's remarkably accommodating of us commoners.

As for the hype, she's tall, blonde, beautiful, talented and personable. What's not to like?
She's from the little ol' ski town of Crested Butte, CO . Feel free to make butt jokes about that. the town is at about 7,800 ft, as is the Rift Valley of Kenya. She just cruised today to a meet record.
That and the fact she mops the deck with those broads every time out.
Good grief, hating on Coburn is further proof that there is no low to which posters here will not sink to.

This is true.
Do we have to argue about which one of the tall blonde super hot steeplers is hotter? They are all smokin hot
"They are all smokin hot"
+1
Who fukking cares, all these women are beautiful, at least on the outside.

Seriously? Is there room for only one attractive woman? There are a lot of very pretty women at this meet and Coburn is one of them and she must be the smartest because she markets herself well.

She wasn't there today, but only the non-blonde has had a song written about her.
Hey there, Delilah

Don't know her but I agree. She seems very hard-working, humble, and low key. She's striking: tall, thin, blonde with a pretty smile and is well-spoken.
No one is saying she is the most beautiful but she has a lot going for her. I think Stephanie Garcia is beautiful and she gets press. But Emma is blonde and is the BEST female steepler in the U.S.A.

I believe you are on to something here. How often has the US had a distance runner who grew up in similar conditions and had the work ethic to make the most of his/her potential?
This is getting interesting. I wonder what she might do in a 10,000?

well she's a tad bit faster, ya think?
op = imbecile
1-2-3 in the race were all beautiful so was 4th damn some good looking and fast stepple racers in the U.S.
She's an absolute bombshell, an American Record holder, is closing in on the world elite steeplers, and appears to have a nice personality and a good education to boot. There's absolutely nothing for a track fan not to like there.
