Salazar will weasel out of this by claiming his son, Alex, only supported old man Salazar. Alec never supported any athletes.
No matter how Salazar tries to flavor it, his methods are slimy and he does not belong in the sport of track.

Next phase.
They go after Mark Daly. That's how they work, just watch.
So magness has a recording from hks exit at nike and I would be shocked if he doesnt have more locked away to give the powers that be when they get more info on alsal to hammer home the investigation
What a stupid, stupid, stupid one-sided article.
1) It doesn't at all discuss how Magness was disingenuous with everyone about the pills in the book. Pretending they were for doping, when he knew they were because Galen was suffering from a very bad cold. Why didn't the BBC pick up the pill story at all? Because it shows that Magness is a liar.
2) It doesn't mention that the Gouchers never told the BBC\ProPublic that they were legitimately prescribed Cytomel by Dr Brown in August 2011 and that could be when the pill bottle is from. Seriously the Gouchers are so dishonest. If Alberto had given the bottle to them in April 2011, he would have never written in an email to Dr. Brown in August 2011 he was going to give them pills from Galens prescription now because they would already have it. Gouchers are just outright liars. I think they are worse than Magness who is just disingenuous..
Many other holes in that stupid article but not the time to debunk them all.
One interesting thing though: Magness secretly taped his exit interview! Wtf.

And? What of it? Shouldn't it simply reinforce Salazar's claims? Why are you so worried about it?
This article adds nothing new. People are grasping for straws and fame for "breaking" a non-case. I'm afraid they're going to be very disappointed when it becomes entirely apparent that these athletes are all clean.
Yes, another unregistered name brought to you by the Freud PR drones. PR firm desperation is evident.

Correct. I was just surprised we are finding out now he did this. That he did this is positive news for the Salazar camp as the exit interview must have supported Salazar's claims or Steve would have revealed the interviews contents to us.
I take back everything I just said. I was doing ketamine all afternoon and kinda lost my mind. Carry on.

^^^^I bet this has already happened. They're probably not leaking the good stuff.
I hope Ritz and Webb are part of the Salazar 17!
Any comments Dathan and Alan?????
If you think everyone involved in this mess has shown their cards, well then, you are a terrible gambler!
What most people are ignoring that this test is pointless for many reasons.
1. The test only revealed how much it would take for Alex to test positive after being exposed to T. Since Alex and Galen would have different natural T levels and their bodies would absorb it differently you really aren't getting any accurate result. What if Galen is already close to 4:1 and Alex is really far away from it? Then Galen could test positive with a much smaller amount of T. That is if they both absorb T equally at the same rate, which everyone will vary slightly.
2. The dosage of T can be made in any amount. I know this because I was prescribed T for a medical condition and originally my doctor prescribed me Androgel just like Salazar. Once I used it a few times I realized how much surface area is required for its applicatoin and the amount of risk I was exposing my wife to (she is a pro runner) and stopped right away. I then talked with my doctor and decided to get it compounded at a lab so that I could get the same dosage, but it would take up about 2% of the surface area as before. Because of that I was then able to apply it to a more private location preventing any risk of my wife getting exposed to T.
Between point 1 and point 2 there is no reason to run this test unless you knew exactly how much T would be needed for that specific athlete to test positive and what the dosage of the cream being used would be.
Purely speculation, but what are the odds that they rubbed it on the athlete that wanted to dope and sent the sample in under Alex's name. Keep going up to the point where you almost test positive and then realize what the limits are and stay well under it? You would then know the dosage needed and be able to stay well under it.
Maybe I'm just smarter than Salazar though and can think outside of the box when it comes to getting sabotaged.

Probably very high. This is one of the things USADA is looking into.
Interesting points SQ.
I think the article is a good recap and would definitely recommend it to people who want to catch up without reading through Salazar's entire response and all the responses to it (or 100 pages of letsrun threads).
Serious Questions - wondering if you care to share more on being prescribed androgel. On another thread it has been suggested that someone needing testosterone replacement wouldn't be using androgel for an extended period of time. They implied the preferred therapies were shots, implanted beads and another treatment I can't recall at the moment. Any insight on this?
Sorry I posted before I clicked on the link to your other thread where you addressed that question.
Balanced response from the BBC. Another nail in the NOP/Salazar coffin.
The man who produced the tv program on the Nike Oregon Project for the BBC has recently put a lengthy piece out on the BBC website where goes through the allegations and Salazar's response much like David Epstein did a few weeks ago, but in much more detail.
It's provides an excellent recap of everything and asks, "What questions remain?"
It's a must read for anyone interested in the Nike Oregon Project doping investigation.

PS. It kind of implies that Alberto Salazar's son, Alex, could face a doping ban which is kind of ironic. What if when all is said and done the only person reprimanded was Salazar's son, Alex, a support person?
Wada rule 2.6.2 stipulates that possession by an "athlete support person" of any prohibited substance or prohibited method is banned without a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) or other acceptable justification.
If it is an LRC "must read," we can be sure it parrots your philosophy of cynicism, witch hunts, character assassination, web bullying and completely self baked bullspit.

Nice. Care to share what "medical condition" prompted you to start taking Testosterone? And your wife is a pro runner, eh? Did she ever borrow your cream for a little "recovery" boost?
And I assume that you run? Did you win any prizes or even place in any races while using the T?
