He says absolutely nothing very eloquently. The ultimate politician.
Stay away from the grey line, but use whatever medication you need to remedy your concerns of "not being able to perform at the level you want to compete".
I like Lananna. But some of those quotes are not very helpful. They are scattered and don't make much sense.
Here are a few problems I have with it:
1. He says "there is no exception (where athletes can't take certain drugs)". Then turns around and observes there are exceptions (the TUEs).
2. He says "everybody knows the rules". He says that right after saying "I don’t think I can comment on what the rules are, I don’t know them well enough, in terms of what’s legal and what’s not legal".
3. He says "I have confidence in USADA and WADA". That statement is crystal clear. But really? Do you honestly agree with him? I think there are people on both sides of this issue who think USADA and WADA is susceptible to persuasion when it comes to the grey area. We already know it from Salazar lobbying to allow Oxygen tents. We know the USADA allows thyroid medication knowing perfectly well it hasn't any medical purpose except for elite runners to perform as elite runners.
