After a promising start to my track season (freshman eligibility season), things finished terribly. However, with a few weeks off to rest and recover mentally and physically, I am reinvigorated and training for this upcoming cross country season has been going well. While I didn't reach my xc goals last year, it was evident that I am significantly stronger both aerobically and anaerobically this past year.
This thread is entitled 25 minute 8k because I believe everyone who was posting last year has a goal within this range. This year my goals are to run 25:30 (5:06pace) for an 8k, and to run at my school's conference xc meet.
Mileage thus far:
W1: 30 (6 runs)
W2: 38 (6 runs)
W3: 47 (6 runs)
W4: 50 (6 runs, long run of 12, 1 day of strides)
And I'm currently in my 5th week of training.
