I've got a little over a year before.
2 miles?
Plenty of people have streaks in the multiple decade range...I'm not one of them, but 100 days is the streak equivalent of someone coming on here and bragging about their sub-20 5K time.
I think for a streak to count you should run atleast 4 or 5 miles everyday of the streak. That's just the ground rules for myself. What do other people consider the minimum distance to keep a streak alive?
My last rest day was July 19, 1988.

Good question. Who goes out to run, and only does 2 miles?
Do you want me to give you a 100th day birthday cake you piece of shit.
So you will hit the big 6,000 a couple of days before Christmas. Excellent work. As for me, I am going for the record of most running streaks started, which has to be in the 1000s at this point.

I've gone out for a 2 mile run the day before a marathon.
I once had a streak of about 380 days with a minimum of 3 miles per day. I had a bet with 2 teammates for a year and if any of us took a day off we had to shave our head. Luckily I didn't have any injuries that year, but I did have to run through a nasty flu.
That's very funny and thank you. I'm not fast, I'm not even thin really, but what the hell, the streak is one thing I'm suited for. As of last night I hit 37,332 consecutive miles and I plan to stop at 50,000 and start smoking and drinking hard liquor (I'll be about 69 then).

HAHA that is hilarious
Longest streak - 449 days. Minimum - three miles. No cheating and no exceptions.
2008 days, minimum of 20 minutes.
my college coach attended the university of virginia and has the school record for longest running streak. he didnt take one day off the entire time in college. That is 4 yrs of atleast 90 miles a week. Not once was he injured, he was a freak.
my college coach had a streak of 10 years, 10 miles a day.
it was ludicrous. guy couldn't run under 2:15 for the 800, but could run all day long at 5:30 mile pace.

Didn't Bruce Denton once run 2 miles in an airport to keep his streak going?
give him a break the kids in high school.
brude denton, lol.
I believe my record is 749 straight days, would have to do some research to get the exact record. My minimum is 4 miles per day. This included running through the birth of one of my kids (woke up early and ran before visiting hours) and running the day after my vacectomy (with lots of "support"), ha. Was that TMI?
Sorry I forgot the basic rule of letsrun.com responders. Add 50% to your weekly miles, take off 30 sec per mile from your PR times and be able to run a 5k tempo run in 15 min. none of which I have done.
30 miles per week
4:25 pr for the mile (a long time ago)
17:15 5k (3 years ago)
35:45 10k (3 years ago)
3:20 marathon (5 years ago)
I still concider myself a runner, wait I can not run a 2:45 marathon, or am professional runner, or a student athletes so I am a jogger.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
