I'm a sophomore starting to plan out my summer training for this year. Right now my prs are 2:01 4:37 9:58 and 16:52. I'm looking to get a strong summer of training in but I'm not sure if I want to aim my summer towards lots of tempo runs and fast training runs or try to hit high mileage. I will be doing two interval workouts a week for most of the summer and was wondering if you think it would help more to be in the 30-40 mile range averaging close to 6:00 miles or build up to the 60-70 mile range which I would hope to be around 6:45. Also this is my first time trying to train this hard so I will likely need to build up a decent amount. I value your input, thanks!
