Today I went for a 8.5 mile run @ 7:15 pace and 2% include on my treadmill due to weather. I was wondering if this run was more effective or less than if I did this distance and speed outdoors.

My uncle asked me how fast I ran a HM. I tell him.
Then he lights up his 20th cigarette of the day, and says "Well, I can run a 6:00 minute mile."
I am pretty confused. Then he says "but when I run outside, I can't run as fast for some reason."
Then he lit his 21st cigarette.
True story.
The same..really. I guarantee you if I were to send you outside tomorrow and told you to run 8.5 miles at 7:15 pace, you could do it.
After suffering through two miserable winters, I found my easy treadmill paces to be pretty close to my outdoor paces with absolutely no incline.
