So I just finished my sophomore track season in high school, and I would like train the best way possible over the offseason to become the best runner I can be. In track the 800 and the 1600 are my main events, my PRs are 2:04 and 4:42 (400m PR is 55.6, and 3200m PR is 10:42). Cross Country season is in the fall and I would like to be as strong as can for that, and I also want to be as string as possible in the 800 and 1600 next track season. So basically I am asking how to train myself through the offseason to get the best tesults in Cross Country, and get the best results in the 800/1600m next year during track. And another thing I am wondering is if Sub 2:00 in the 800m is a reasonable goal for the opening meet(s) of my next track season.
