I am a senior in highschool about to graduate. My track season just ended with a PR of 9:50 in the 3200m and 4:40 in the 1600m. My goal is to by this time next year be running around a 9:25 3200m in order to walk on to cal poly slo NCAA D1 team (the college I will be attending). My question is what training should I do this summer in order to get to that level? Is it a reasonable goal to drop that much time in a year? Thank you for the replies!
