Well, I posted something here but apparently it was deleted. Sorry. I tried to stay generic and didn't name names or call out any particular schools. Oh, well.

I go to a great school where I would love to run and am plenty fast enough but they have no men's track or XC because of title IX.
I like this one. I predict it will do well.
Just as some African American males claim "the man" is holding him back, so do some privileged white males. Ironic.
That is my contribution.

Poor baby.
Every job I've worked (excluding lifeguarding) has been at least 80% white male. Current department is 100% male, 90% white. I'm sure I'd have a much harder time getting a job in this field as a woman.
Do you know who doesn't get passed over for jobs? Good candidates. Maybe you should worry more about becoming excellent and less about making excuses.

I hear this time and time again, that all the good jobs are filled mostly by males and its complete bullshi7. Teachers, secretaries, and nurses are overwhelmingly female, but there are plenty of offices, restaurants, coffee shops, etc that are overwhelmingly female too, leaving men to work min wage jobs because, "it'd be so easy for them to find something better because they are men." Women hire women and men hire women. As a male, you constantly have to prove you are not just as smart as most women, but much better qualified for the position than them, because employers would rather hire a woman a bit worse at the job than you, if she can do it at an average level if you can only do it at a bit well above average level. As a male, you have to be practically be a god to live anything other than a mediocre life.
I got passed up at work due to title IX. Instead the job went to this woman who would have been stuck in the kitchen 60 years ago. Instead she grew up with equal educational opportunities and was more qualified than me. So unfair to be facing all this extra competition.
It's funny how people who benefit from affirmative action sometimes will complain about their achievements being doubted by others. You can't have it both ways.

?
Hilarious bro. You so downtrodden!
This is complete and utter bullshit. I wasn't exaggerating (I work in a tech field and the ratios are, if anything, worse than what I wrote). I can only hope that this was an attempt at humor, and not something you actually believe.
This right here is legitimately in the top 5 dumbest things that have ever been written on Letsrun:

Of the men's teams at the NCAA XC championships in 2014, 31 out of 31 head coaches were male, 27/31 were male for the women's teams.
I don't think being a male coach is in anyway a disadvantage when trying to find a coaching job.
No Title IX problems but I once interviewed for a professor's job at a community college and was told they'd like to hire me but were going to wait for a suitable black applicant. Then they asked me to teach the classes as an adjunct.
The other thing that's happened to me 3-4 times over the years has been interviewing for a high school cross country or track coaching job where I've been told that I was the most qualified applicant they had but that they wanted someone to coach who was working in the school. I don't know what the point of interviewing me was.
We're hiring a professor in our department this winter (mediocre LAC) and have already been told by the dean we are not allowed to consider male candidates. We'll interview a couple for looks only.

That really is a naive post.
In most states restaurants and coffee shops are exempted from minimum wage, the logic being that the difference is being made up in tips.
Most of them are part-time.
I'm not sure where you live but my city most waiters and kitchen employees are male immigrants.

Next thing we'll see is them complaining that all the best runners are black. Not fair bro.
