We all know that most AD's don't care enough to fire coaches in track for lack of performance but looking over the list of qualifiers to the NCAA regionals er National1st Round we see some horrific numbers from some schools with great facilities, recruiting bases or traditions.
Foremost is UCLA which has slipped steadily down from its once position of dominance it had built for so many years of national team titles, Olympians and All-Americans especially in sprints, hurdles and jumps. Nobody is doing less with more.
South Carolina is another school in need of a change as Curtis Fry is simply riding out the string to retirement. Simply awful to watch.
TCU is another program that isn't doing as well as it used to. Darryl Anderson has not upheld the tradition of Horned Frogs sprints in years past!
Georgia Tech needs to can Grover Hinsdale. They have been awful lately. 6 guys to nationals and 5 women, worst combined number of any power 5 league school.
Oregon State is a mess under Kelly Sullivan despite a brand new facility and full support scholarships last 3 years. This guy must have pictures on his AD as they finished last in Pac12 in cross country (behind non-scholarship for distance USC!) and track. They have 2 athletes to nationals even as Portland State has 7 and Portland has 5!
Matt Kerr at Boston College is terrible and should be s**tcanned already. Why do guys like these keep jobs?
So who else should be fired or at worst feeling the proverbial heat???????
