I'm slow, trying to get faster. I asked a guy that once ran sub 4 to show me his training log some weeks leading up to his sub 4 mile and he gave me the following. He said it was mostly run on hilly courses. He said it was just like this or very similar training most of the year, with maybe one hard mile workout and and tapering before a race. To me it sounds like marathon training, is this not the wrong way to train for the mile?
