I have a nagging injury in my right leg/butt that has been coming and going for the past 3 years. No clear diagnosis but it feels like nerve damage. Definitely nothing to do with muscle. I notice it most when I do speed workouts with insufficient warmup beforehand. Occasionally it gets really bad and the nerve pain extends down my whole right leg and into my foot. I've used tennis balls and the foam rollers, but it always seems to be there in the background, threatening to flare up. One of my friends suggested it might be a problem with my IT band (I think it stems from a split that I accidentally did while playing ultimate frisbee 3 years ago)
Any thoughts on what this injury is and how to deal with it?
