From what I heard she is retired and I think it has something to do with harmones. There has been no official statement, I read this in a newspaper response to the editor. There have been a lot 800m runners with gender issues and the athlete just disappears and the IAAF never erase their results.,
What is the clean 800 record? Most events, you can say, OK, this person was probably clean. 800? Yikes at what point do you say clean for sure?
Well, former Olympic medalist and world champion Pamela Jelimo has finally spoken about her relationship with she dearly loved and cherished. This man is Peter Kiprono Murrey.
Jelimo has narrated to the Nairobian how her relationship with Murrey was full of lies and how she was made to suffer just because she was an innocent girl who Murrey exploited fully.
Jelimom says that she never was never married to Murrey as many Kenyans were made to believe. Instead, she waited for that marriage to come but it never happened. Murrey never made an effort of proposing to her.
She says that Murrey always appeared in press conferences telling the world he was her husband but in real sense he never was and that he was a cheat who had another family elsewhere.
The Athlete narrates how friends hinted to her about Murrey's affair with another woman when she returned from the 2012 London Olympic games. She set off to find out the truth and indeed she found Murrey with another woman in a house he had rented for her. The woman had a child for Murrey.
Jelimo ended the relationship but Murrey went on to do more damage by opening court proceedings to demand some wealth from her.
The track-mistress attributes her decline in athletics to the pain the man she dearly loved caused her and says that she knows Murrey is the cause behind it. She however says that she will be back to her best very soon.
I think this is from 2 years ago.
Does that not count as "whatever happened"?
She surely would get a medal in Rio if she were here and in top form.

Yet another travesty out of Africa. If it's not age-cheating and drugs, it's a steady stream of intersex freaks like Nyonsaba, Semenya, Jelimo etc. A corrupt dump that needs civilising, or having a bunch of neutron bombs dropped on it.
Wow, this guy was onto them way back last year. Was there really gender doubt about jelimo too?
Pamela Jelimo(Chelimo) is married, has a daughter and lost interest in competitive running. Still works as police officer together with current athletes like Rudisha, Kiprop, Ezekiel Kemboi. Tried to make a come back this ending season but clearly overweight.
She would no doubt have destroyed Semenya in her peak year of 2008
Since she has a daughter, I hope LRC stopped accusing her of being intersex. I think she's one of a kind talent, maybe doped, but still very talented
All her problems stem from involvement men who were with her only for her money (she made over $1million in 2008). That will set you up for life in Kenya.
As you've heard, she gave birth to a daughter recently and the above linked pic of her with some weight on shows she has the clear anatomy of woman especially the mammaries. But that won't matter to Letsrun haters.

I am a man and I have a daughter as well. Not sure how this proves anything.
There is a youtube video on Jelimo from 2014, in which she spoke of wanting to run at that year's Commonwealth games:

She gave birth to a daughter, something neither you nor Semenya is capable of.
Pamela JELIMO is happy and sound.she delivered a bouncing baby girl and another soon.have u seen her lately on Facebook. She has posted a kicking girl and fat body full of milk flowing.I think it is her best decision even after the so called boyfriend destrupted her training by locking a property despute just to win her back but the girl fought the battle with all her might.imagine African man you so dearly love and lo have another wife so without u knowledge and only spends time when UA in other continent s fighting for bread only for you to discover later to have two children.many women athletes in Africa goes tro'the same not to mention .it is pity coz even athletic s can't help women realise this emerging trend.

Just my opinion but assuming Pamela was clean this makes her the GOAT, equivalent to Rudisha. This puts the current questionable crop of female 800m runners in perspective.
She is now running as US 5000m Olympian Paul Chelimo.
Any updates on Pamela Jelimo? Now that Semenya is gone from the 800, it's wide open for Jelimo to regain her crown.
