So tomorrow I have a 3200m race (conference champs), and I've actually never raced this distance for track. Last week, I ran 2:49 for 800, which is a BIG PR considering last time I ran a 3:01. Also, 2 weeks before the 800 I ran a 6:34 1600m. I've been injured with shin splints throughout most of the season, but I'm allowed to run since its just general shin pain instead of pain in one spot. I haven't been able to get much quality training in at ALL, so I think I can improve each week with the right motivation/race atmosphere... What do you think I could run tomorrow for the 3200? Last XC season I did a time trial and I got 13:45, but that is the only time I've ever done the 2 mile, and I've never raced it. Also, am I more distance based or speed based? I ran the 6:34 3 weeks ago and the 800 1 week ago so maybe I've just improved..? What time would be a reasonable time to go for tomorrow? Thanks!!!!!
