I competed in XC in the fall and ran varsity as a freshmen. I am currently in track and have dropped my 1600m time from 5:05 in March to 4:41 on Saturday with consisitient drops in time in between.
I have the dubious distinction of being the fastest 1600 runner in my school. The race on Saturday was hard but I still had something left at the end so I think I ould have gone faster.
I have made it to the next round, NCS Bayshore Chamionships, this Saturday and there is no way I will move on with anything less than a 4:35.
I have the toughest time pacing on the opposite side of the track.
Any tricks of racing or practicing going faster with the hopes of shaving off 1.5 second per lap?
