Lagat just tweeted he did his longest run ever... 16 miles. Always known he has been low mileage but with the fact that he has done NYC half this surprises me. Anyone know what his LR has normally been in the past?

He typically does 13 milers at a fairly fast pace (5:30s or so) once a week. Plenty far for half marathon training
Despite being SCRAWNY, I have some respect for Lagat. He seems to be one of the few runners out there who takes care of recovery and supplements wisely. I mean there are many runners out there who throw everything at the wall and hope some sticks, but then sometimes trust the wrong guy and test positive.
Lagat has never tested positive, and when he did, it turned out to be false. So in the end, he takes the right supplements and plays fair and still wins and is almost 40.
I still hope he starts lifting a bit more so his PHYSIQUE (or the lack thereof) would be a bit easier to the eye...
