Cool. I'm going to send it to our hurdles coach to show our hurdlers.
1976 Olympic champ. I heard BITD that he could place a coin on top of a hurdle and knock the coin off without touching the hurdle.
He also talked about trying the decathlon but said the 1,500 was too much. He supposedly enjoyed a smoke, so maybe his endurance was lacking.

My old Geography/PE teacher competed against Drut.
When he retired he talked about all the money in track- everything was under the table then (1976). He was talking about $50,000 appearance fees for runners like Viren.
