If I up my mileage safely 10/15 mpw (from 45) and stay consistent?
Fyi- I'm not particular stronger in one area. If anything I'm better at longer distances, my 800m pr is only 2:12.

Same dude well I was 4:45 but close enough. I think it depends on your 2 mile. I ran 10:19 and my goal is 16:30ish I think that's a good goal for you unless you ran like a 11 minute 2 mile. My 800 is 2:13 so pretty close to yours
I ran 4:46/ 10:06 off of minimal mileage sophomore year. I ran consistently in the 16 flat to 16:30 5k range junior year off of 30-40 miles a week with occasional morning runs. I felt like 16 flat was about as much as my speed/ strength would allow.
One tip, if schedule and coaching allow, run a mile time trial on track at some point during the Xc season. It's a good change of pace, keeps fast first miles from being a shock during race and you might pr and build some confidence.
Good luck-
