Hello Let's Run.
I am a very passionate runner, almost 40 years old, have been running for 3 years now, Marathon in 3:09,
I don't think I have any talent for running, but it would be nice to go sub 3 (and I am confident I can do it, with sufficient preparation)
Also I got my own business and see some business opportunities at this moment..., and as many others... I have a nice family, I want to care for them, All this is important to me.
And this is the conflict; I have noticed that if I have subscribed to a race, I get obsessive; I want to be very well prepared for an event; make as much miles as possible, but this is really difficult with other parts of my live.
The problem is not to get the miles in.. but I have noticed,.. that If you do a lot of miles, you need extra sleep... extra rest ... got less energy... and this is not nice for my family and my business.
I am thinking about quiting racing, because I don't want to race only half prepared.
And then.. just only running for fitness.
Although there is almost nobody in the world who gives a shit.. about my running, it's just important for me ..
Any advice ?
