So, when NE kicks off to the opposing team they go over and ask for one of their footballs?
If they're stopped on 4 downs they switch the football out?
If there's a turnover, the ball is switched?
If NE suddenly discovers they're playing with one of the opposing team's footballs, they have someone run out and switch the ball?
If deflating a football is such a huge issue, wouldn't the refs be checking those things every down!? Don't they check them every down!? In MLB, if there's even a hint that the pitcher has done something to scuff the ball, they're over on the mound for a half-hour checking it out.
