Not sure how many NAIA guys are on here but does anyone know who has bid for the sites of both championships (Indoor/Outdoor)?

I don't think it's been released yet. They didn't release the location of this year's XC champs until this past January, so it might be a while until we hear. I would guess that it's not as competitive as something like NCAAs because there isn't as much money to be made from it
Do people actually care about the NAIA?
I would love to see outdoor track go back to Life College, but they haven't reintroduced their program yet. A number of great plains area (Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma) colleges have added new track facilities recently. I wouldn't be surprised to see one of them bid for it.
Westmont has a nice track, wouldn't be surprised to see it end up there if it goes back out west.
Indoor will likely stay at Spire unless someone on the west coast has a very good facility. Can't get much better than Spire.
I don't think being on a campus or having a program is a requirement. This year outdoor is again being hosted at the beach- Gulf Shores, AL. It's the same place that just hosted their high school state championships. For that venue it's all about filling hotel rooms and condos and getting staff hired and trained for the busy season that starts is 2 weeks.
Any updates as to where this might be held next year (2016)?

I remember when NAIA was a much bigger thing - in all sports.
But I think it was starting in the 1990s a lot of NAIA schools started to transition to NCAA Div II and III.
I'm sure a core group of people still care, but NAIA is a lot smaller than it used to be.
It sucks how many teams are leaving. A lot of the good ones. I just graduated from an NAIA school and it was an awesome experience.
I heard something about NAIA indoor nats possibly being at the new SDSU 300m track.
Indoors was supposed to be in Nampa, ID, that fell through. There are rumors it could go back to Johnson City, where it was for years. Outdoors... I pray to the good Lord that any distance runner doesnt have to step on that track down in Gulf Shores during the hottest part of the day... Terrible planning.
Does anyone know when the NAIA will be releasing the sites? Seems odd that its almost july and no one knows yet!
Caitlin Jenner was a NAIA All-American !
Bryan Clay was a NAIA All-American
The following are also past NAIA athletes
Mike Rodgers
Jen Suhr
Jared Schuurmans
Anyone heard the sites yet? Almost august!
Ok, NAIA, where are we heading for this indoor/outdoor season? I surely hope they have gained enough brain cells to realize being in Gulf Shores, AL in May is not great for competing.
At least they put XC in NC this year. It will be warmer and better for fast times, which is good for November.
Announced last night that a 2 year contract was signed with Gulf Shores to be the host again outdoors
Still waiting on indoors though
Would love to see indoor rotate between Birmingham, Spire, U of New Mexico (banked), Dakota Dome (8 lanes) and Fresno State (banked).
I think Spire is likely the best facility all in all, with the other buildings to utilize for warmups. The only issue is the location is on the northeast edge of the NAIA membership.
Birmingham is a newer track only facility and would likely be easy for +50% of NAIA membership to drive or fly to Atlanta.
Dakota Dome is drive-able for a majority of the NAIA membership, but is a basketball facility for the U of South Dakota, which could make scheduling difficult. And hotel space my be difficult. Having to drive 45 min to an hour to Sioux Falls or Sioux City.
New Mexico is a bit remote for the membership, but in a bigger city. And a top track in the US. Also its warmer. And housed in the Convention Center, thus won't have to contend with basketball.
Don't know much about FSU, other than its banked and west.
Just announced today. Indoor is going to Johnson City for the next 2 years.
Looks like we will have 2 heat finals now in all races 600 and down. Even the 60/60h only support 6 lanes. with 8 all Americans and point scorers, will be odd watching 2 heats of 4 in the 60/60h final.
Tennessee and gulf shores for for two more years
