You have to be under oath to commit perjury.

You have to be under oath to commit perjury.
And you have to tell a lie.
it was legal.
Well, it was reported all along that the knife was LEGAL
Good thing it was illegal. That means it was okay to kill him after all.
Thank God. Thought they killed him for some unjustified reason. Good to know the death penalty was enforced properly.

No that's not why its important. I think it just shows the DA may have questionable competence.

Except that she was right.
When the cops kill people it's always the dead person's fault, and the DA will always be on the side of the cops.
Didn't the autopsy show that it was the bolt in the van that killed him?
Isn't one of the charges false arrest, one reason being because Gray's knife was legal? Well, if the knife was illegal, then the arrest wasn't false.

Except you missed the point. The discussion was about the importance of her saying whether the knife was illegal or not. And yes that would reflect on her competence.
Exactly, why you arguing with me. The DA may have questionable competence and the police carried out the death penalty as they are supposed to. Now that we know that the police did nothing wrong since the knife was legal we can focus on the real problem, the DA's competence.
Americans need to get over this stuff. Police have the right to carry out the death penalty at their discretion. Doesn't matter if it is for carrying an illegal knife, selling cigarettes, walking around Walmart with a toy gun you are going to buy, standing in a doorway scratching your nose, ... doesn't matter. If the police think you deserve to die, you do.
Now lets focus on the lawyers, DA, clerks, someone besides the police who are just carrying out sentences that fit the crime.
