Hell freezes over twice within a week. We agree again.
The first time I was on a treadmill wasn't high school, it was rehab after a head on car wreck, where I had to learn to walk, and run again etc. When I got healthy enough to run, the physio put me on the treadmill.
Even slow, an astute human being can realize just how dangerous those suckers can be. The physio was super specific in training me how to use it, get on and off, and to take the things seriously.
It was scary, even at slow speed, knowing that if you didn't pay attention, that thing was throwing you off, cos that belt ain't stopping unless you turn the sucker off.
I've always, always, always, respected those things ever since. I've been at resorts in Mexico too, where the exercise rooms are often deserted for long periods and no CC tv for security etc.
I actually avoid treadmills and opt for ellipticals (sp) every chance.
This is a tragedy for the family, and I wonder how many other treadmill deaths have happened.
Sad, sad, sad.
