I am serious.. There must be somebody with enough education and background here to explain it to me.
He seems to have a pretty good life. Wife, kids. Job he likes. Enough cash to be more than comfortable. So he cheats to get into Boston.. I get that..
But since he was caught and exposed his actions just defy logic.... Like a lifetime movie...
The common thread is all these marathon cheater sagas is extreme narcissism. Kip wanted to be known as a 2:50ish marathon guy and would go to great lengths and expense to do so. Several of the others wanted to be known as Boston qualifiers. Another common thread is Boston and the wearing of Boston apparel by these folks to gain external validation from others that they are "great" runners.
Now in this case, he has dug himself such a cavernous hole, it is probably too bib to climb out of. He keeps digging it deeper. All the others eventually stopped digging; In the case of MCM Price, he climbed out of it.
His posturing on Twitter implying he will meet the rojo challenges are hollow. As it has been pointed out a million times before on this thread, if he could do a 3:11 marathon, he should be able to do a 3:25 any given sunday without much special training and should have already done it and been 100K richer.
My advice to him fwiw..just stop.
