Given what you described, you certainly can fudge what was collected. If it's just JSON data then you can edit that data.
I doubt that Mike has the skills to edit it correctly though.
And this is precisely why I said that until Rossi provides access to the original raw data I don't care what he posts because it can all be made up. And once he dares to post the actual raw data it will be torn to shreds and he will have nothing to fall back on.
Understanding GPX files, coordinates and what json even stands for are well above Rossi's pay grade so I feel pretty confident that we'll never see any of it posted anywhere.
He only posts crap that the gullible might fall for or believe, it's a real shame for him that the interwebz won't let him get away with it. And when your local on-line magazine still writes about your shenanigans this late after the fact and airing your cheating for all to read repeatedly you know that all your bridges have been burned and your life is "great"!
