I did this for another runner. If my math is bad, let me know.Based on the pace of their chip times, and assuming everyone is cooking along at even pace (doubtful), Gustafson hits two miles at 13:45 and Rossi at 13:50 (race clock time), so Mike is roughly 5-6 seconds behind. Staying on pace, he would pass Gustafson in another quarter mile.BUT... our hero had a "shoe malfunction" and lost time at the beginning, not to mention he had to pass 650+ people during the entire race. You would expect with that start, he would be further than 5 seconds behind Mr. Gustafson at the two mile marker (if Mr. Gustafson ran a positive split w/ a fast first mile, like many local runners, that would push Rossi even farther behind). If we estimate that Mike was 15-20 seconds behind Mr. Gustafson at two miles, Rossi would have passed him in the last quarter mile, probably even closer to the finish line. One thing we've never determined, did Mike claim his third place medal? No pictures of it, and we know how odd that is based on our hero's past behavior.

Yes. This guy finished 7 seconds after Rossi, if my math is right. He and Jake are key witnesses.

It was cold, an hour away, and I was out late seeing Jeffery Gaines at Steel City. Man, he has an incredible voice.
If he runs something closer I'll go and film it.
Mikes Nike post said it was 57 degrees. Cold?? Really ?? If I am sure of one thing it's That Nike app does not lie!

So I was contacted by someone in regards to this website and a guy named Rossi. I was asked if he passed me. I do not know this person but I was passed at around the two and a half mile mark by a guy with the exact same build as this person and the exact same sunglasses. I know he was wearing black shoes that had colorful lines. He was probably in his early 40s if were to guess.
Ha ha ha. Hi Mike!
Gustafson's splits, according to Strava: 6:24 6:52 6:53
RGlll's splits
1 1.0 mi 6:24
2 1.0 mi 6:52
3 1.0 mi 6:53
4 0.1 mi 1:03

He was contacted before and has recently been contacted again. We'll see what comes out of that.
Just ask folks if they have any pictures from the race. I would even expand it the folks on the Strava flyby who are outside his chip/gun time range. You know there's gold somewhere out there.

This. Good chance the guy from CA had family who might have gotten a pic. Isn't the Brojos offering money?!?!

True. Maybe somebody else can pick up that glove? I'm in transit and it's a #$%5# doing it on the app. Time is of the essence here, already a week has passed.

The age reference gave it away.
Letsrun vs. Rossi is as Holmes is to Moriarty:
"if you were clever enough to bring destruction down upon me, then I shall do as much for you"
he's a ghost you'll never find him
He has two pictures(not in action) at the Turkey Trot on his Strava page. Maybe they have more action pictures such as finish line shots.

I wouldn't call a narcissistic d-bag a 'ghost'. And that's the second time I have to question your choice of words. You, sir, seem to live in an alternate universe.

he's a ghost you'll never find him in any pictures of the 2014 Via marathon (miles 1-26) or the 2015 Haddon Township Turkey Trot.
Fixed that for you.

Ha ha ha. Hi Mike!
Whoever fake posted as Jake you do realize that you are impersonating a 13 year old, right?
Tri-guy, if you are so inclined, I think you should contact the Turkey Trot RD again and ask him to review the gps data Rossi tweeted, along with Rossi's other post-race tweets. I suspect the RD is familiar with, and/or knows a number of serious runners who are familiar with, the Nike+ app. Ask him to compare the known start time with Rossi's purported gps start time. Ask him to look at Rossi's purported pace, and changes in pace, and ask the RD if he thinks anyone could have run like that when crossing the starting line approx 45 seconds after the gun (due to a claimed shoe malfunction) and while weaving his way through 600+ runners, joggers and walkers. The RD should contact Rossi and advise him that he will be DQ'd and removed from the results of the Turkey Trot unless he comes up with a convincing explanation within 48 hours for his suspicious tweets (especially the "results soon" tweet and the gps app tweet). The RD should do this not just because it is the right thing to do, but also for the sake of James Rowe, who Rossi likely cheated out of an age-group award, and for every other runner who is listed as finishing behind Rossi in the results.
Also, mention to the RD that someone purporting to be Jake Aylmer posted on this thread in an obvious attempt to support Rossi. Based on his impressive past results, Jake appears to be a serious runner. Since he comes from Haddon Twnshp and has run in the Turkey Trot for several years, I wouldn't be surprised if the RD knows Jake and his parents. Maybe the RD would be willing to call or email Jake's parents and ask them to confirm whether Jake is posting on this board. If not, the RD should contact the Brojos and ask them to check the IP address of the person who registered and posted as Jake.
Thx Jake. Impressive run of yours! Even I as an experienced Boston marathon runner had to work, to pass you. Of coarse I started way behind you, and worked all night but, thats how I roll!
