Totally agree. The publicity will die down inside of 2 weeks. The forumites will move on to other stuff. And that other guy still didn't get to run.
The BAA should just give an automatic qualifier entry opportunity for next year to the next guy on the list who didn't make the cut due to the cheater. It would be between the BAA and the entrant and they wouldn't have to release any info to anyone else. Even if the entrant remained unknown, something positive would come from this. A lot of people who didn't ask to be involved where/are being impacted by this: The school Principal, the school district and teachers, Rossi's kids who are likely being taunted at school, For what ? A few minutes of internet fame over a viral letter ? Meanwhile Rossi remains in denial and probably doesn't even realize that he is going to be proven a cheater. Hopefully something positive will come from this. Maybe future cheaters will think twice about it. Maybe the next guy in line gets to run next year.
