Oh my god, he cheated look at his chip time of 20:25!!!! He pulled a Kip!!!!

So why would he start at the very back of the pack? Because it is easier to slip off course and then jump back in later. Too bad he still screwed up the timing and didn't get the sub 20.
What happened to all you locals that promised to attend? Come on people.
good catch, missed that there was chip/gun time.
It's VERY odd and even Kipspicious that he chose to start at the back.
20:25, if valid, weaving through crowds, could be pretty close.
It makes sense that this was another course-cutting attempt. Why else would he start last? He picked an event that wasn't in the area to reduce the likelihood of running into someone he knew.
Once again Rossi thinks that if he has an actual finish time and he has a picture at the start and finish it is proof he ran the whole distance. Too bad he couldn't get back onto the course unobserved until 20 minutes had come and gone. Or he messed up the math and didn't figure out his chip time right in his head.
Want to shut me up and prove you ran the whole 5K Rossi? Share some GPS data and let us scrutinize it. I'll just sit here patiently for that.
Wow. Either another poor miscalculation on his part or a total dress rehearsal for a second attempt at the grand illusion to see if he could actually get away with it. So begins another chapter in the sordid tale...
Wonder if he hasn't tweeted his results yet as he's giving the timing guy the business in an attempt to change the chip time.

Maybe he's building up? Since his prior results were used as evidence on LVM, maybe he's trying to work up to sub 20?
Because otherwise it really doesn't make sense. If he's going to cheat, he should easily get sub 20 on the first "effort."
Mike has to be pissed. Awards based on clock time and not chip time! Ha-ha!
For comparison, the gentleman who actually EARNED second place had no differential between his clock and chip time. That's how you do it, Mike.
It's a good improvement over his Rocky time and shows his 5k 20:15 pic was a typical Cheater Mike Rossi lie, no surprise there. What an idiot, only someone Barb McKeever could believe. He should be running 19 and small change now if he was a 3:11 guy, which he's not, he's the Cheater Mike Rossi and has the Unicorn crown to prove it.Mike Wins!

He should have signed up as a Clydesdale, he could have won that division.
The genuine finishers about 20:20 to 20:30 have at most a few seconds gun chip difference, our hero has followed the Kip playbook.

While he may well have cheated, it's also possible that he started at the very back of the race because he knows that a good number of serious runners know who he is and will shout: "Cheater!" at him, especially if he starts at the front. Most of the walkers at the back aren't going to recognize him.
Sad and pathetic either way.
Have to LOVE the name of the timing company:
DQ Events
This race have a) a course map b) pictures?
He doesn't want to redux the Via race and run a 18 or 17 min race at this point. He's getting his ducks in a row, so to speak.

That had to be a hard, long ride home.
20:25, if legit, is a little too close for comfort. I recall a poster about 80 pages back saying this was a hilly course. If so, 20:00 on a flat course is well within MR's reach. But if he goes 19:xx, so what? He still cheated at VIA. That's why I think this $10k give away is is misdirected.
Yeah too bad he started out so defensively. But great run, solid PR, congrats!

He's trying to leave a trail of progression. That was one of his mistakes at LVM. His athlinks record didn't show any kind of progression. This way, it seems more believable, even if he is course-cutting his way to some sort of progression.
