the last few posts were from a guy name somebIoke, that's a capital L instead of my regular name that is somebloke. letsrun font is horrible to tell these apart.
I think you mean he used a capital i but yeah, that's pretty annoying. Because of the weird posting system and the fact that usernames are case insensitive you could just start posting as somebLoke (or some other variation of your name where the "L" is capitalized), but that might just cause further confusion where some people would think that *you're* an imposter.

Agree, succinctly put.
Note: I've bolded and repeated it to make sure it gets Rossi's attention.

Also, Rossi's an idiot (no major revelation there) for tweeting in the first place beginner hobby jogger stuff like "For those who think I haven't "put in the miles", I averaged 140 miles per month since July 2014 (except for May-August 2015 while injured)", oh wow, "140 miles per month"!!!. Fool.

It's probably a random troll, doubt Rossi is clever enough to think of that.
If he properly trains, he is capable of cashing in. I would be nervous if I were Letsrun
Maybe Fat Hands is back

He doesn't, he isn't and you're not.

Not clever. Just pathetic to have so much time on his hands. It's not even funny what's the point?
It's mischief maker Mike trying to create a distraction, he is "clever enough to think of that" but it doesn't take much to be smarter than him, just register your name twice both ways if there's an 'l' in it, or just get over it and use another, who really GAF what handle an anonymous poster uses.

Also, dude keeps changing his story. Does he not remember that he was supposedly injured and unable to run BEFORE Boston in April?
And I don't know if you all saw this already or not, but it's nice to know that MCM has a RD who's not afraid to do his job: http://www.runnersworld.com/races/marine-corps-marathon-issues-lifetime-ban-to-runner
It's called f'ning lying, man.

Mike is going to need a solid training cycle, something like the Pfitz 18/55 to have a chance at sniffing the marathon time. And to complete that he is going to need a solid base in the high 30s were week. I wouldn't be surprised if that is what he is trying. However time is running out. You figure 18 weeks from now and you are in late spring, getting near the end of marathon season for most places. If I were him I would target the Flying Pig Marathon in May in Ohio. I think the timing would be pretty good for him if what he says is true on Twitter about his training.
The pig has some hills, not really a fast course. He could try Myrtle Beach in March where the Rossi compound is located. Might could cheat there as well.
Myrtle Beach has chip mats at 10k, half, and 18.3. Here's the course:

It looks like it would be difficult, though not impossible to cheat on this course. It looks like one strategy would be to have a driver waiting, drive back and forth on the I-17, keeping careful track of time.

ps: who runs a 5k carrying a cellphone?
pps: are the sunglasses a disguise so he won't be recognised?
I am baffled by his 2 minute drop in time from the last 5 K he ran. Does the above pic look like a stride for a 7 minute miler. I doubt he ran the whole thing.....
He should be familiar with the area & have suitable transportation at his disposal if not a short walk/waddle across the course. Grandmas would be a good choice for an honest effort, could be warm there and it's pt-to-pt.Hahahahahahaha I said "honest effort."

Why is everybody giving Rossi training and cheating ideas?
You know that he's probably sitting in front of his computer, taking notes.
I'm just surprised that Rossi's been running at all. I would have thought, based on the amount of time he expends on social media, that he wouldn't have the time to train.
We should be counseling him to lift weights 3 times per week, with one 30 minute tempo run on a treadmill at maximum downhill slope, while wearing a 50 lb weight vest. This is my current training regime and I plan on breaking the WR in the marathon within the next 2 years.
Anybody want to sponsor me?
If this thread reaches 20000 posts, will Mike come clean? I hope so...I think something momentous needs to happen when that milestone is reached.
I'm all for Rossi trying to hit the Rojo times. Every effort simply validates his cheating at LVM.
