So if he is pacing someone, wouldn't he have named the person? Wouldn't that person have said something?
If he does run the marathon, it will be interesting to see who is with Mike the entire race.

Given Rossi's propensity to lie and troll, anything he says is suspect. Hell, given that he didn't even use his actual name in the recent 5k he fawned over, anything he does is also suspect.
This just in...
Mike Ross has completed the NYC Marathon in a PR. Bravo, cheater.

That 5K he ran on Saturday pretty much blows out of the water that the 20:58? he ran and posted a pic of a few months ago was legit.
I honestly think after NYCM Mike is going to fade away. If that run was legit a few months ago then he must not be running. at all, which he claimed a few weeks ago.
I think his heart isn't in it anymore when it comes to running.
Spot on. He really missed his calling but not too late to enter politics.Would be cool if the brojos could track him down there and have a little conversation with The Cheat.

Just to recap:
Man runs Boston and brags about it on social media. Makes cringeworthy video. Puts letter on FB to his kids' school about his children's absence that goes viral.
Analysis of his pre-Boston results raises questions about BQ.
It turns out man did not legitimately qualify for Boston.
Due to inadequate race-directors man does not get disqualified despite overwhelming evidence.
Letsrun.com offers substantial ca$h to man if he actually is able to show evidence of running his BQ or roughly matches same running times on various distances.
Man does not show signs of actually trying to meet any of the requirements of the offer. Man is surprised that people discuss his reasons/actions on this forum.
Man acts on questionable level/drags himself through the mud on twitter. Fuels discussion. (Several side-stories should maybe be included here: Ken Stillman, Cecily Tynan)
Man hints towards entering NYC Marathon, his first marathon after the infamous Boston Marathon. Questions arise about his participation and capabilities.
Hi everyone, I'm a new poster and I know Mike. When we heard an online site was blogging about Mike's potential cheating we decided to do what good friends do, so my wife and I ignored it and continued to be the Rossis friends. Over the summer something happened, which I think is too personal to share online, that led us to rethink our friendship and support. Then a few weeks ago we heard our nephew, who happens to run cross country, discuss this thread with his friend in great detail. He wasn't aware that we knew who he was talking about, but I was a bit saddened by the substance of his comments.
So I decided these past two weeks to read through here myself and see if anything holds true. I'm always cynical of what is posted online since usually no one personally knows anyone else. I found a lot of the comments quite distasteful. However it's now also clear to me that he did cheat, and it seems blatantly. I am not going to attack him here, but thought it would be important to see the full picture before passing judgement on you all as well.
Based on how much time and effort you spent looking into his cheating, I can tell a lot of you really cherish this sport. I admit I don't know anything about running, but I know a lot about character. We were never fond of his antics online, but didn't want to judge him by that. When we heard about the principal letter we just thought that was Mike being Mike. But then when there were rumors he cheated to get into Boston that whole letter situation made my stomach churn. I also do not agree with most things he's posted on Facebook or his Twitter account since then and ultimately I don't think the way he's responded to this issue is reflective of someone with high moral or ethical standards. I want to make it clear that I decided to post this to vent, stick a knife in the issue and move on. Mike doesn't need to know who I am and neither do any of you so don't ask, but if he reads this I hope he rralizes he has not taken the right path and people will distance themselves eventually.
If this thread were ever to end (and it may never) I would pick this post to seal the end of it.
I also live near Mike and know many of the same people he does. The views you expressed are directly in line with most of those that I hear as well. I also know that many more people that are/were close to him than he could ever imagine read this thread to find the meaning of his bizarre Twitter posts .
When I run past him in the park I cringe but have never said a word. I wouldn't bring myself down to his level or possibly expose myself to his attacks.
Thank you for this well-formulated contribution. It is a confirmation that Mike's behavior will eventually come back to bite him in his personal sphere. Hopefully he will indeed rethink his strategy. To fess up and apologize would also be a great way for him to move forward.
Thanks for taking the time to post that. I know it will make no difference to Mike but it will help others like you see why we are so passionate about our sport. It is important to take a stand on what matters in our lives.
Best of luck to you.
Thanks for this contribution, it is refreshing to hear reason and sanity.
Another great day haha. Mike, let me guess, this is just another hater right? If you had half a brain you'd have something to take away from this, but I know you can't help your addiction so post away my friend. That haterade picture would be perfect.
Thank you for your insight and well written post. I too live in the same neighborhood and township as Mike, and hope others within his circle of friends, acquaintances and social media world reads your brave post and follows your lead in both distancing themselves and posting here as well.

Correction: The letter was about "I RAN THE BOSTON MARATHON AND I AM WONDERFUL, LOOK AT ME ME ME!". His children's absence was the context/excuse for the letter, but it was never about his children's absence.
From the letter "They watched their father overcome, injury, bad weather, the death of a loved one and many other obstacles to achieve an important personal goal". It was all about him, the kids only watched.
And not "their mother sacrificially took time out of her schedule to spend boring hours getting dragged around and taking care of the kids while their father indulged his new-found one-shot hobby."
Thank you MusicManPA.
First meaningful post in awhile.
I doubt it will phase Mike one bit though; he'll write you off as a troll just as he has everyone else. Until his self destructive behavior starts affecting his business I don't foresee Mike changing his ways.
That letter was full of self-loathing. It's just oozing with narcissism. Amazing the family gets no credit isn't it.

I think he's very lucky he works for a company and not under his own name. It will catch up with him in other ways, karma doesn't mess around.

Thanks to the posters above for the sincere posts. I said early in this thread that Mike can turn this around to his advantage. America likes a comeback story. If he came clean in a tearful apology, begged forgiveness, then volunteered to run a marathon raising big money for charity, perhaps with a training plan from the Brojas, it could be a win win. But only if he meant it!
Thank you very much for posting and please ignore the trolls who are going to try and give you abuse for posting sense. They have issues. I hope the cheater bloke doesn't figure out who you are because you seem like a nice guy. :)
Mike, do you realize that every time you post, you only make yourself look worse?
You aren't smart, funny, or charismatic in any way.
Your best course of action would be to go live in a cave for a few years while everyone forgets about you.
