Probably when people were using AOL. Just a guess.

His lawyer actually lives in Ocean City, NJ and posts a lot of vacation pictures. My guess is he's retired from the firm and leaves it to brother and employees.
https://www.facebook.com/jpgrimes1
He posts a lot of boating pictures and has an attractive wife. Seems to be enjoying life and is a nice guy. I can't imagine why he would have friends like Mike.
That letter is complete BS, it's written so broad, verbose and non specific it's ridiculous, it's like a letter you'd write to your granny, but the contents a bit different. I hope Mike didn't pay him, on second thoughts I hope he did.
Loved the bits "Though not a runner, you sought out and have utilized the LetsRun.com message board...", so you have to be a runner to use the MB? Also, "Mr Rossi's athletic accomplishments", is he serious? And "impelled other posters...take the extraordinary step of cautioning you of the treacherous course you have undertaken", does this idiot lawyer know this is an anonymous MB that's full of trolls?, FMD I've argued for and against just for the fun of it. I'd like to call witness Jack Shit your Honor.
A decent lawyer would itemize and clearly lay out the claims, "The basis of these claims are patent on their face", oh really, who's this idiot trying to kid?

No worries Mr Grimes as long as Mr Rossi pays to get him here.
I don't think you know the intent of a C&D and why the claims are broad.
If as Mike and his friend and minion(s) have claimed that no one cares or reads this stuff and that the only people who read this are a handful of runners, how does Ken's postings on here damage Mr. Rossi's "reputation" in the community where he lives and works? I thought they claimed that no one cares?
1. Mr. Rossi's damaged his standing in his community when HE (not Mr. Stillman and not any poster here) decided to post a letter he received from a principal of an elementary school who was carrying out her responsibilities and duties as an employee of the school district and the state and then posted his sarcastic and self-serving response to the principal.
2. He didn't have the decency or the responsibility to send it to anyone in the school district but rather took a self-serving stance and posted it online in attempt to damage the reputation of the principal and the school district.
3. He posted it on his Facebook page and then tried to blame others (his supposed Facebook friends) for reposting both resulting on it to go viral.
4. However, Mr. Rossi lied when he said he only posted it on his Facebook page as he tweeted and re-tweeted it on his twitter account constantly and it was posted on his company's website.

But I also unintentionally left off "lying" which is another fact that Ken and others have stated, which does go to his integrity and is business related. Again, we, as well as Mr. Rossi and his attorney, know that he has lied.
Are you drunk?
I can see the conversation now :
I want to sue!
Ok Mike I have a few questions to ask. First, there have been intimidating tactics using kids as well as unspeakable things said about the defendants son on the message board. The public generally views this poorly if you don't already realize this. I have to ask can any of these be attributed back to you?
Absolutely not! I stake my reputation on that!
(To his secretary) Please open a new case file for me and get that Marco Island realtor back on the phone. I think I'm in the market for that condo again!

No, are you an idiot? It is a rhetorical question. No need to answer.

LetsRun offers “Marathon Dad” Mike Rossi $100,000 to run 3:11:45
One runner was made famous by a response he wrote when his children’s school claiming he shouldn’t have taken them out of class to watch him race Boston. Now he’s in the hot seat because some think he cheated.

I'd also like to call the Editor from the Ekstra Bladet publication, Denmark.
Whether I do or don't doesn't matter, it's still "complete BS, it's written so broad, verbose and non specific it's ridiculous" including "The basis of these claims are patent on their face".
Translation of the Dutch article.
Running Company LetsRun.com now offers a fortune to runner Mike Rossi to repeat the time of 3:11:45 as he should have run in Via -maratonløbet in 2014. The time gave the 47-year-old family man from Pennsylvania direct access to the prestigious Boston Marathon, which he completed three months ago in the time of just over four hours. It writes Runner's World Newswire.
Since there has been great skepticism from several fronts in relation to whether Mike Rossi had cheated to qualifying for the race in Boston.
And maybe no one would have thought further about the 47-year-old maturities. If it had not been because he had taken his children out of school for three days, so they could see him running across the finish line in Boston.
When the family came home, there was a letter from the school, who certainly did not think that you could give his children free in the background. It was father to post the letter on the social media - with this reply: 'I appreciate your concern about our children's education. I can promise you that in the three days in Boston learned more than they would have done in a whole year at school '.
The call was read and shared by thousands and with the Mike Rossi famous on the web. Subsequently, however, they deleted from both Facebook and Twitter.
I think it's cheating
And all the attention leads us back to the tender father of the family now has received from LetsRun.com.
They do not seem that Mike Rossi could implement Via-marathon in 3 hours and 11 minutes. And strangely enough, it is only possible to take photos of Rossi by running start, and when he runs across the finish line. In addition, none of the man's previously documented run farms that matches the fast time.
The organizers of Via race has stated that they will not disqualify Rossi's time, unless that pop up clear evidence for possible cheating, which has provoked many in the running world.
So much so that Mike Rossi now has been offered 100,000 dollars to match marathon time 3:11 within a year. But that's not all.
If Rossi can not match or improve his time from Via Marathon in 2014, will LetsRun.com give him about 10,000 dollars if he can prove that he is over the next years run a marathon in time 03:25, 10 miles (about 16.1 km) in the past 70 minutes or five kilometers in 20 minutes.
Robert Johnson, who is a founder of LetsRun.com explains that he and his brother, Weldon, personally will give Rossi the money if he implements one of the races.
- I'm so convinced that there is any truth in the speculation that I am willing to put my money where my mouth is, says Johnson for Runner's World Newswire
Mike Rossi has yet to answer whether he will accept the offer.
Mr. Rossi,
Let's take a step back. I'd like you to tell the court, in your words, about the importance of the Chicken Dance.
There are many ironies in Ken getting that letter, including that Ken's professional reputation and family were taking a far worse beating on here than Mikes. Also, weren't there claims Mike is busier than ever, so business has improved with Ken posting? However, my favorite is that every time Ken did stray to mention things other than cheating, people were quick to say it made Ken look bad, not Mike, to write about topics other than cheating. Which it did. Ken was really only hurting himself. Does Mike really believe a guy like Ken Stillman posting crap on Letsrun can damage him in any way? I can't believe he bothered. No offense, Ken, but nobody takes anything you say seriously and as others have said I think you came out worse for all of this than Mike. Other than I can guarantee that nobody thinks you, Ken, cheated at a marathon.
This whole thing couldn't have happened to a better candidate than Mike Rossi . It's been a long time coming , its well deserved . I'd love to hear what his co-workers think of him I bet they are snickering behind his back !
I also think it's hard to prove I am hurting a company that seems to have gone out of business many years ago. The lawyer isn't claiming that I am hurting East Coast.
I suppose he could be talking about this company that used to exist:
